One of the best ways to contribute to positive change is to volunteer one’s time, knowledge, skills and experience to support efforts ‘on the ground’. If you are passionate about changing lives, even if just a few lives, of disadvantaged Tanzanians, then one of the ways you can take action is to volunteer with us. Why volunteer with HDT?

As a local NGO, it is difficult to achieve a meaningful impact alone; we need to do it together with others, together with you. Your support will either directly or indirectly improve the welfare of the people we reach (and help us to reach more people in need). Here are some examples of the impact of your support as a volunteer to the people we strive to help:  
You can help send orphans and vulnerable children to school.
You can help people with HIV/AIDS get the medication, nutritional support and psychosocial support they need.
You can help families taking care of people with HIV/AIDS and vulnerable people (orphans, elderly) to obtain a source of income (e.g. start up grant for poultry farming).
You can help improve the community services for people living with HIV/AIDS and vulnerable children affected by AIDS.
You can help enhance the capacity of community based organizations to improve their service delivery.
You can help empower community based organizations in policy advocacy so they can hold the government accountable and raise the voice of people living with HIV/AIDS and other vulnerable people.
